waterproof、water-resistant、watertight 都是指「防水的」，但在意思上有細微的區別。
★ waterproof：指「完全不透水」。

★ water-resistant：指「能暫時防水；不容易被水毀壞或沖掉」。
a water-resistant suntan lotion（耐水性防曬乳）
a water-resistant jacket（防水夾克）
★ watertight：指「（容器）不漏水的」或指「（措辭等）嚴密的」。
watertight compartments（水密艙室）
a watertight submarine（不透水潛艇）
a watertight excuse（無懈可擊的藉口）
