1.娛樂消遣的場所和活動名稱要加 the。
→ go to the movie theater 去電影院
→ watch the broadcast 看轉播

2.電視前面不加 the。但是若 TV 指一台具體的「電視機」時，則需加 the。
→ They’re watching TV. 他們在看電視。
→ Your glasses are next to the TV. 你的眼鏡在電視機旁邊。

3.天氣類型需加 the。
→ I hate getting caught in the rain. 我討厭淋雨。

4.三餐前面不加 the。
→ have/eat breakfast 吃早餐

5.帶有介系詞 on 或 by 的交通工具前面不加 the。
→ on foot 走路
→ by scooter 騎機車
