想要增進口語式片語動詞的應用能力，最好的方法就是仔細研究介系詞或副詞在句中的位置，以下幾組單字，它們在加上不同介系詞後會代表不同的意思，一起來看看吧！

 

【Go】

The orders have been confirmed, so delivery must go on as scheduled.

訂單已確認，因此商品必須照原定計畫繼續進行配送。

That tie really goes with that shirt!

這條領帶與那件襯衫好搭！

Can we all go in on the taxi fee so it’s affordable?

我們可以一起分擔計程車費好減輕費用負擔嗎？

 

【Come】

I’m here to report on how the overseas operation is coming along.

我來這裡報告海外營運的目前狀況。

I came by this report in the library.

我是在圖書館取得這份報告的。

若此情況又再度出現，請通知我。

 

【Get】

Even after his training in China, he barely gets by.

即使他已去中國受訓，他的表現只勉強及格而已。

If they try to get away with overcharging again, we will cancel next year’s deal.

若他們又設法規避索價過高的代價，我們將取消明年與他們的交易。

Since the merger, they haven’t been able to get along.

自公司被併購後，他們就無法好好相處。

 

【Take】

We will take in the sights as soon as there is a break in the meeting schedule.

一到會議休息時間時，我們會去看風景。

Sales of the new product have really taken off recently.

新產品的銷售量近來不斷提升。

This budget proposal takes after the last one in too many ways.

此次的預算提案書與上次的有太多相似之處。

 

【Make】

The people sitting in the back can’t make out what the lecturer is saying.

坐在後面的人聽不清楚講者在說什麼。

The building will be totally made over in order to increase its energy efficiency.

這棟建築物需要被徹底整修以成為節能建築。

We won’t make off with any profit if we leave now.

若我們現在就離開是無法得到任何利益的。
